DAY 1 ASTANA (KAZAKHSTAN)

MEALS INCLUDED:

Arrival in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan. The guide will meet the tourists with the “SISO TRAVEL GROUP” logo. Transfer to the hotel, check-in, and a short rest.

DAY 2 ASTANA

MEALS INCLUDED: BREAKFAST, LUNCH, AND DINNER

After breakfast, we begin our Astana city tour with visits to:

  • Palace of Independence, where tourists get a general overview of Astana.

  • Palace of Peace and Reconciliation – a pyramid-shaped building, masterpiece of the British architect Mr. Norman Foster. The Palace was built for conferences of the world’s traditional religious leaders and is now one of the city’s most important landmarks.

After lunch, we visit the central sphere called “Nur Alem”. This is the main element of the complex and the largest spherical building in the world, with a diameter of 80 meters and a height of 100 meters.

The complex is a legacy of EXPO 2017, held in the summer of 2017 in Astana. Inside, it showcases Kazakhstan’s history, traditions, culture, and regions.

Other visits include:

  • Hazret Sultan Mosque, one of the largest mosques in Central Asia.

  • Baiterek Tower, the symbol of Kazakhstan’s new capital.

  • A stroll along Nurzhol Boulevard and a visit to Round Square. At the end of the walk, visit Jan Shatyr, a commercial and entertainment center.

Free time at the Jan Shatyr shopping center. Welcome Dinner in Nur-Sultan.

At the end of the tour, transfer back to the hotel.

DAY 3 ASTANA - ALMATY

MEALS INCLUDED: BREAKFAST AND LUNCH

Departure to the airport to take the flight to Almaty 07:00 – 08:40 / 09:00 – 10:40.

Arrival and transfer to the hotel.

Almaty city tour: 10:00 – 20:00

Visit Panfilov Park, the Ascension Cathedral, and the National Musical Instruments Museum. The museum’s collection includes over 1,000 objects, including rare 17th-century items. In total, there are 60 types of national instruments: kobyz, dombra, syldyrmak (a kind of tambourine), and other traditional instruments.

Visit the Central Mosque, built in 1999 (interior visit possible).

To truly feel the spirit of the city, its atmosphere, flavors, and colors, visit the Green Bazaar. Participate in tasting local delicacies, including mare’s milk and camel milk.

After lunch, transfer to the Medeo Gorge (25 km from the city).

Medeo – the highest skating rink in the world and one of the city’s main attractions.

Take the cable car (total length 6,200 m) to the Shymbulak Ski Resort, located in the scenic Trans-Ili Alatau valley at 2,200 m above sea level. The area is very beautiful, with fresh air and glaciers at the peaks. Tourists will also ascend to Talgar Peak (3,200 m) by cable car.

Continue the tour at Kok-Tobe Park, one of Almaty’s main attractions, located on the slopes of the mountain of the same name, rising 1,130 meters above the city. The park features landscaped terraces and groves, with wonderful panoramic views of the mountains and the city.

Next to the park stands the 350-meter television tower, one of the tallest in the world above sea level. Its picturesque location on the green Kok-Tobe hill, with the snowy peaks of the Ili Alatau mountains in the background, has long been a “calling card” of Almaty. It takes only 6 minutes to reach here by cable car connecting the city center with Kok-Tobe (total length 1,620 m).

At the end of the tour, return to the hotel.

DAY 4 ALMATY – BISHKEK (KYRGYZSTAN

MEALS INCLUDED: BREAKFAST AND LUNCH

08:00 – 12:00 Departure and transfer along the Almaty–Bishkek road to Kyrgyzstan (260 km, ~4 hrs).

Border formalities and transfer to the city of Bishkek.

Arrival and check-in at the hotel.

Bishkek is the capital of Kyrgyzstan and the administrative center of the Chuy region. It is located in the valley of the river of the same name, at the foot of the Kyrgyz Ala-Too mountains, about 30 km from Kazakhstan. Its name comes from the Kyrgyz word for a horse-milk churn, as kumis (fermented mare’s milk) is a traditional drink of the people.

City tour in Bishkek: a sightseeing tour including Ala-Too Central Square, the State Historical Museum, the Changing of the Guard, Lenin Statue, Duboviy Park, Victory Square (Plaza Pobeda), and many other points of interest. Lunch according to the schedule.

At the end of the tour, return to the hotel.

DAY 5 BISHKEK – LAGO ISSYK KUL

MEALS INCLUDED: BREAKFAST AND LUNCH

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure towards one of the largest alpine lakes in the world after Lake Titicaca, Issyk-Kul Lake. Known as the “hot water lake” (as its name translates from Kyrgyz), it is surrounded by the Tian Shan mountains, whose peaks remain snow-capped throughout the year. The lake is situated at an average altitude of 1,700 meters above sea level, with a maximum depth of 702 meters, a length of 180 km, and a width of 60 km. It occupies a closed tectonic basin. The waters are slightly saline due to mineral springs feeding it from the lakebed and surroundings, as well as snowmelt from the surrounding mountains in spring.

Excursion to the open-air museum of Scythian and Turkic petroglyphs (7th century BC – 5th century AD). These are ancient Bronze Age settlements with stone carvings exposed to the open sky.

The carving style, known as Saka-Scythian animal style, features beautifully rendered animals with elegant lines and curious presentation. The site was an ancient temple where inhabitants performed rituals, made offerings, and left images of sacred animals. From the museum, there is a beautiful view of the surrounding Celestial Mountains and the lake itself.

Optionally, a 1-hour boat tour on the lake can be taken. At the end of the tour, accommodation in the area.

DAY 6 LAGO ISSYK KUL - BISHKEK – TASHKENT (UZBEKISTAN)

MEALS INCLUDED: BREAKFAST AND LUNCH

Breakfast at the hotel and free time to enjoy a swim in the lake or walk along its shores and sunbathe.

At the scheduled time, transfer to Bishkek, located approximately 260 km away.

Visit the Burana Tower Architectural Complex, located about 75 km east of Bishkek. The tower was built in the 11th century and is the main remnant of the ancient city of Balasagyn. Its name "Burana" derives from the mispronounced word "Monara," meaning Minaret. This city was established in the 10th century on an older settlement and served as the capital of the eastern Karakhanid State in the 10th–11th centuries AD. It is famous as the birthplace of the poet Yusuf Balasaguni, who wrote the epic poem Kutadgu Bilig ("The Wisdom That Brings Happiness"), translated into several languages. It was also one of the cities on the Silk Road.

Lunch will be served at a restaurant according to the program schedule.

At the scheduled time, transfer to the airport for the flight to Tashkent. Farewell with the Kyrgyzstan team.

Arrival in Tashkent, picked up by our staff, transfer to the hotel, and accommodation.

 

DAY 7 TASHKENT

MEALS INCLUDED: BREAKFAST AND LUNCH

Breakfast at the hotel. Begin the excursion through the old part of the city, visiting the Hasti Imam Architectural Complex, including Barak Kan Madrasa, Kafal Shohi Madrasa, Kukeldash Madrasa, and Chorsu Bazaar.

City tour in Tashkent: Museum of Applied Arts, Independence and Eternity Square, city fountains and modern monuments, Amir Temur Square, Opera and Ballet Square, Earthquake Monument.

Lunch will be served at a restaurant according to the program schedule.

Return to the hotel at the end of the tour.

DAY 8 TASHKENT – SAMARCANDA

MEALS INCLUDED: BREAKFAST AND LUNCH

Early breakfast at the hotel.

07:00 Transfer to the station to take the high-speed train to Samarkand (Afrosiyab, 08:00–10:20).

Upon arrival, begin the tour of Samarkand: Gur-i Amir Mausoleum (Tamerlane’s tomb, 14th–15th centuries); Registan Square: Ulughbek Madrasa (15th century), Shir-Dor Madrasa (17th century), Tilla-Kori Madrasa (17th century); Bibi-Khanym Mosque; Siab Bazaar.

Ulughbek Observatory (15th century), Afrosiyab Museum (ancient city), Shakhi-Zinda Architectural Complex (9th–15th centuries).

Lunch will be served at a restaurant according to the program schedule.

Accommodation at the hotel in Samarkand.

DAY 9 SAMARCANDA – BUKHARA

MEALS INCLUDED: BREAKFAST AND LUNCH

Breakfast at the hotel. At the agreed time, departure to Bukhara (290 km).

Start of the tour in Bukhara: visit the Samanid Mausoleum, Chashmai Ayub Holy Spring, Bolo Hauz Mosque, Ark Citadel, Kalyan Minaret and Poi Kalyan Mosque, Miri Arab Madrasa, Toki Zargaron Dome, Ulughbek and Abdullazizkan Madrasas, Toki Telpak Furushon Dome, Magoki Attory Mosque, Toki Sarafon Dome, Lyabi Hauz Architectural Complex, and Chor Minor.

Lunch will be served at a restaurant according to the program schedule.

Accommodation at the hotel in Bukhara.

DAY 10 BUKHARA – TASHKENT

MEALS INCLUDED: BREAKFAST, LUNCH, AND DINNER

Breakfast at the hotel. At the agreed time, we will begin the visit to the mausoleum of the mother of Bahouddin Nakshbandi (30 km from the city), Chor Bakr Mausoleum (10th century), and the Summer Residence of the Emir of Bukhara – Sitorai-Mokhi-Hossa (19th century).

Lunch will be served at a restaurant according to the program schedule.

Transfer to the station to take the high-speed train to Tashkent (Afrosiyab).

Farewell dinner in Tashkent. Transfer to the hotel afterwards.

 

DAY 11 TASHKENT AIRPORT

Breakfast at the hotel. At the agreed time, transfer to the airport and end of our services.
